  2. This may help, but may not.

    12.5%
  3. No, increasing it will damage the economy and the people.

    37.5%
  4. I'm not really sure about it.

    6.3%

How do you define happy? It's really subjective and overall depends person to person--I would probably say "People deserve the right to pursue happiness, within legality and reasonable means."

The rest of your post was spot-on though.

Because I want to see what he has to say on this subject. His opinion on the matter, to see a bit more about Marlin. Blocking people out doesn't solve it, it only makes the threat or challenge easier to ignore, but he's still there. A person.

Once again, got no information about that.

Why make people who struggle in so much more pain? That is inhumane to do that (in my opinion).

Didn't I say the advantages out-weigh the disadvantages?

I don't actually, yes there are the same thing.

Yes I do. Flat tax is a little too unfair. People earning more don't need that much money, people struggling don't deserve to be paying tax for that reason.

Yes, I got how flat tax work before.

Well actually that is if it was a busy period. It would take at minimum 30 minutes-45 minutes.

    Yeah, whatever you say.

    Google it, no define difference.

If you think that quote was about aliens, that was not what it was about.

Oh that, agreed, get rid of the thing causing a waste to taxpayers and raise the wage higher. Although if that happens, I still would recommend a bit higher than that.

    *Applaud* Right on!

That is absolutely insane. Doesn't that then equal to over a trillion dollars then? I don't know how that will ever get to surplus...

Actually I think you are only #1 in about 3-6 things in the entire world. But the rest is taken by other countries.

I know that, its fine. He lasted this long, he can continue.

Did you ever read what law I said you should enforce? Minimum wages. Plus here's the thing, if you come to another country with personal information about them, and overall not been shown with any major/extreme criminal record (a little, no or minor depending is okay, only on the amount of times committed), they are free to enter. No documentation, I'd say a background check (6 weeks it takes) and if clean let them in.

Like lfpnub said, there is in fact no law that they enter illegally only if they break another law.

Never said it was fake, why would you think I would ever say that it was fake? It was just "plotted", it still happened.

It depends on what you get a degree in. Be smart when you plan your life so you can make sure you get a good job :)

They should make it so filing for bankruptcy discharges student loans too. Doesn't mean make the minimum wage higher.

No you don't. You only deserve what you've earned.

"able to go to the hospital and not want to kill themselves because of their medical bill because they cant afford it"
"The ability for 80% or americans who currently cant to be able to sleep okay at night and not worry about how your basic bills and basic necessities"
Past that youre on your own you did word it a lot better, Im not good with the words lol

Its not like these people are going to college for gender studies, not everyone is an idiot when they go to school, this happens regardless of if you ger a good/"real" degree or not
What exactly does earning something mean? Does blue deserve happiness because he was born into a reasonably well off family? Do I not deserve happiness despite my decent job and career path but inability to keep up with my medical bills because then I wouldn't be able to afford rent?
Dont people deserve to be able to have an accident, whether that is their fault or not, and be able to pay for it or at least be able to keep up with it over time?
Also, what about the rest of the post ffs

    Many of them are.
There was a poll awhile back that showed Bernie had something like 98% support among people with gender studies degrees.

If you get a good degree why would you be working minimum wage to start out!? IK entry level jobs don't pay the same as senior positions but still you will make not minimum wage.

Your family giving you support and stuff is essentially charity. Nobody deserves charity, its not something you earn, you get it based entirely on luck. That being said, you are not entitled to charity, just because someone else is luckier then you doesn't mean they should have to pay for your healthcare and your rent and your food stamps.

I'm doing research relative to it. I'll reply when I have counterpoints.

I'm not doing anything to anyone...
No, you said that in your opinion the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
No they are not... Skilled labor requires a degree or other education. Examples: Lawyer, engineer, doctor, mechanic, or pilot.
Unskilled labor requires nothing special; pretty much anyone could do it/be trained in a couple days. Examples: Cashier, assembly line worker, construction worker.
It doesn't matter if they don't need it; you don't have a right to it.
It's funny that you think that a country should pick and choose which laws to enforce. I think that we should stop enforcing homicide laws, so that we could reduce our population and thereby raise wages as a consequence of a greater demand for workers.

okay I'm popping in again! Hi!

    Okay so
@lfpnub are you actually insane? Like *knock knock* where's the brain? Did you say that it is not a crime to enter the USA illegally unless you enter illegally and commit a different crime? FALSE!

@Daniel Thompson You want to know more about "Marlin" okay here I go l, these are the only things you'll ever know about me:

    1.) I am a Republican
2.) I voted and support Donald Trump
3.) The minimum wage should be $10 (except slightly changing to keep up with life)
    4.) I am from America
5.) I love the color Blue

Okay there ya go! That's all you'll ever know!

    @Muunkee

1.) Stop complaining, people will always have it worse then you. Be greatful for what you do have.
2.) People deserve to be happy but they also have to earn their happiness. Being happy is not a right.
3.) minimum wage is literally the minimum someone can pay you. It's not the wage you'll make forever!

Also, since you want to compare the 70's to today.
The magical word you are looking for would be "inflation".

Okay I'm done here, cya in a couple days.

1 - oh good, the old 'other people have it worse so dont complain" comment. Yeah Im pretty sure that the most well off people complain about their problems they have. Just because I have it better off than some doesnt mean I cant complain. Just because you have it better than me that doesn't mean you cant complain. Dont be like that.
    2. What do you think pursue means? I worded it poorly and metr0 corrected me but people should be able to have a goddamned emergency and not be screwed and stressed and everything for the next many years
    3. I know that? Im not saying that minumym wage should always be whats the livable. I clearly stated the minimum wage should assist in people scraping by if needed. Honestly, we did prove that 10 an hour wasnt livable. I myself know for sure even when I dont add my medical bills and my pets into the price, I cant live off 10 an hour. Even if Im eating ramen every day. I'd easily say and agree that 10 would be a reasonable minimum, especially for at least my area. Not sure what/how it should be in otger states.
    3. Can you really not justify why some of the things we are paying for the most can go up well over 10x the price since many years ago, but minimum wage hasnt? Lol
The point there was I didnt have to stress over paying tuition had I been paying that in 1970 - this may not be due to minimum wage itself and maybe more so the colleges but the wages should be adjusted more so to reflect that so again, I wont have to slave away trying to pay my loans until Im over 30.
80% of americans are in ridiculously large amounts of debt because they camt keep up with it.

Yes, happiness is earned. give people tge ability and resources to earn it because this is stupidity, not happiness

Get good grades in school, you will get financial aid if you are make yourself an appealing candidate for the schools. Get a degree thats practical for a high paying job, and use that high paying job to pay off any debt you have accumulated. I've seen this happen to the people around me, they worked hard, and it payed off. The people who slacked off in school either didn't go to college or got no financial aid because they got terrible grades.

I have mentioned before that they need both experience and degrees. It's sometimes harder than you think when getting one. Also, that is a very funny gif.

That is why I'm glad Australia can help into earning that kind of happiness with minimum wage.

    Still nailing it Muunkee. *Cheering*

Yes, but don't you see the important chain? Without farmers no food, without truck drivers no deliveries, without supermarkets no providing food to customers, without workers or people, a destroyed industry. The important link can affect thousands, if not millions of jobs, if altered.

Do you just ignore the quote I answer to?

Cool, now could you please start doing it?

You think that's a charity to support your family? You are dumb, you should always support your family, because you will never have another one.

^^^ First one on this reply.

Holy cow does it physically pain you to not insult people? I know blue_marlin left but you can't take out your pent up anger on me. If you read my I distinctly said "Your family giving you support and stuff is essentially charity". If you are denying that its not essentially charity, then I think you should check yourself before calling people dumb. If someone gives you something you did nothing to deserve, its basically charity.

You get an entry level job (which still pays above minimum wage assuming you didn't get a degree in burger flipping :p) then you get a higher paying job, I understand how it works. raising the minimum wage would do absolutely nothing for the people who are working entry level jobs fresh out of college.

Once again, its to help benefit everyone who is paid under the poverty line, and should have a safe margin in case of accident or injury.

I'm not showing you anger, I was asking do you really call supporting your family charity? Because there should be a much more better word/meaning instead of charity. Plus yes, insults are a thing of the past, it needs to stop or be reduced to a minimum. I've had enough of seeing people being insulted, there is no need to do such a thing, especially in online threads and debates. If you would be (at least) neutral with everyone, I would happily do so back to you.

Agreed. Everyone should be able to be happy, afford the basics as well as a little extra for safety, be able to feel good in life. Some aren't so lucky, but we all need to give to be better benefited for the modern world and some of today's major struggles. We need to focus on the basics, one step at a time.

I agree, there should be a much better word and meaning instead of charity, but do you fail to get my overall point? Your family supporting you is you getting something you did nothing to earn. So is charity for the most part. My point was nobody deserves charity, if you get it, you are lucky, if you don't though, the government shouldn't be providing you charity to "even the playing field".

When have I insulted you? I can only recall one time when I insulted someone on meepcraft.

But any adults working under the poverty line have brought it on themselves right? They did not work as hard in school so they risk financial instability. Minimum wage jobs should be for kids, people who are literally just entering the workforce. If you are an adult and you haven't got any skills to make you competitive in the marketplace of work then its not anyone else's fault but yours.

Legally that's completely correct. Immigration court is civil court. As in, NOT A CRIMINAL COURT. I've looked, and have found nothing in any US law that says that residing here without documents is illegal. The only thing I've found is if you commit another crime here, then deportation+punishment is automatic if convicted.

Well I was going to stay away longer but since @lfpnub wants to be slick, here I am <3

So, let me start by asking. What legal argument have we gotten into in the past?
    And second,
You can 100% be deported for the reason of being in America illegally. The only problem with that is there are MILLIONSSSSSS of illegal immigrants in America so they typically don't deport you unless you do another crime. Please don't argue with me when it comes to immigration as I know a lot about it.

@Muunkee I am not denying the fact that people should not be happy. However, not everyone is happy. Not everyone earns their way to happiness. As @MeepLord27 said, the ones who did good in school are typically the ones that do better in life. Raising the minimum wage is NOT going to solve that issue and by raising the minimum wage too much you'll cause people to lose their jobs, putting more people on unemployment!

@Daniel Thompson you say don't throw hate, anger, blah blah blah but YOU sir are the very first person to throw an insult in this thread. Now please get back to the thread post as this thread has gone crazy.

@MeepLord27 continue what you are doing! You are doing a great job.
