The last statement of the petition says Florida is trying to solve the issue.

No one cares about Florida, only California
Fires are worse than toxic lakes

Ok toxic ocean will kill the grounds upon which most commercial fish species breed or are born then they die the fishing industry collapses globally then the world is left without a main industry and that will destroy the already fragile economy leading to world economic collapse

Seeing as both California fires and Florida algae blooms are state issues, both issues should be possible to deal with at the same time.

I would also like to point out that though the video and many of the Youtube comments blame the dam, the real issue comes from the fertilizer. Large quantities of phosphorus should not be thrown into the natural ecosystem. The surrounding farms ought to be responsible to clean up the water they are allowing to enter the lake/dam.

It’s the dam redirecting the water and the fertilizer and nitrate influx and many issues combining together

Yes, the without the dam the chemicals wouldn't be spread, but at the same time, the dam solves a problem and can't be easily controlled while it is usually required by law for corporations to control their waste.
