Make it so supply drop chests cannot spawn on or within a # block radius of stone. It is frustrating trying to find the wild chest on a mountain of stone when the wild chest looks exactly like stone from a distance away.

What do you mean? I feel like brown contrasts pretty well with gray.

I mean, sure, with admin approval, this could be added, but it seems like a stone mountain would make the chest easier. And with large areas being stone, it would limit where chests could spawn by a lot.

Supply drop chests, no matter if they spawn on stone or not, appear as a stone block until you get close to them (due to the anti-xray plugin).

I do see how it would limit where chests could spawn, but it's discouraging to run a long distance to the supply chest just to find that the chest is camouflaged as stone within a mountain of stone, making it very difficult to find it.

Oh, I didn't realize that. I will message Lord about this to see if this is something that can be fixed, since that requires an edit to the antixray plugin as well as the supply drop plugin. It would take some research on my part to see if this is something that can be fixed. What I meant by limiting spawn locations is their is a set spawn radius where crates can spawn. Currently, liquids and transparent blocks are filtered to not be spawnable. Now, it can be added to the exclusions list, but it would not be to a very large radius. (If I am saying too much about how it works, speak up Lord)

I can see how players would become incredibly discouraged going for the drop if it is camouflaged by it's surrounding, so I appreciate that you brought it up as a concern. However, the concern I have is that it's much more limiting on where the drop can be placed in the world. I would therefore like to purpose an alternative solution where the block it is camouflaged as is changed to something much more distinctive. The idea I have in mind is that it is changed from stone to maybe bedrock or even a bright piece of wool, something that wouldn't normally be found on the surface of any terrain.

Let me know what you think!

Would this be a fix for the supplydrop plugin or the orebfuscator plugin?

(Also +1, especially if I don't have to do anything else ;P)

I dont really see why the supply drop chest needs to be anti x-rayed in the first place.

It would be the best option, but...

1: That would defeat the purpose of anti-xray, since they could just xray the supplydrop if theyr're near it.
2: I don't think you could block all chest except the supplydrops.

Accepted, we will change the supply drop to trapped chests instead.
